Jess completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University in 2013 and went on to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne in 2015. Since graduating, Jess has gained extensive experience in both Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy in a private practice setting. Jess further developed her Women’s Health specialist interest at Cabrini Hospital on the maternity ward. Here she ran pre and post-natal exercise classes and educated women on the maternity ward.
Jess’ passion for performance and dance then lead her to the UK, where she was the lead Physiotherapist on The Wedding Singer, which toured the UK. Following this role, she continued her love for Performance Physiotherapy on The West End in London and at The National Theatre. Here she provided treatment and injury prevention strategies to members of the production companies on some of the biggest shows in London including Hamilton.
In addition to this, Jess continued her work in Pelvic Health Physio at a multidisciplinary clinic where she developed a pre and post-radical prostatectomy service. Further, she continued developing her skills in Clinical Pilates at one of the leading Pilates institutes; Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).
Since her return from the UK, Jess has started 18 Physio. Additionally, she has returned to her role at Cabrini on the maternity ward and has commenced work in a multi-disciplinary setting at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) and at Melbourne Sports Medicine Centre.
