Jess Frydenberg

Physiotherapist / Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist – currently on Maternity Leave. Back 3 days per week from Feb 2024

Jess completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University in 2013 and went on to complete a Post-Graduate Certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy from The University of Melbourne in 2015. Since graduating, Jess has gained extensive experience in both Musculoskeletal and Pelvic Health Physiotherapy in a private practice setting. Jess further developed her pregnancy and postpartum skills at Cabrini Hospital on the maternity ward. Here she ran pre and post-natal exercise classes and provided postpartum assessment and education on the maternity ward.

Jess’ passion for performance and dance then lead her to the UK, where she was the lead Physiotherapist on The Wedding Singer, which toured the UK. Following this role, she continued her love for Performance Physiotherapy on The West End in London and at The National Theatre. Here she provided treatment and injury prevention strategies to members of the production companies on some of the biggest shows in London including Hamilton.

Since her return from the UK, Jess has started 18 Physio, has returned to her role at Cabrini and has commenced work in a multi-disciplinary setting at the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA).

Jess is a passionate physiotherapist with a unique skill set. This allows for a holistic approach to management, with a strong focus on patient-centred care.

Varsha Bhikha

Physiotherapist / Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist – currently on Maternity Leave.

 

Varsha completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Monash University in 2013. She then went on to complete her post-graduate studies in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy at The University of Melbourne in 2016. Varsha works in a variety of settings including providing inpatient care on the postpartum wards and private practice clinics.

Varsha has a special interest in post-partum recovery, pelvic floor strengthening, clinical exercise and Pilates. Varsha has a keen focus on treating holistically, ensuring the best possible outcomes for all patients.

Outside of work, Varsha has become a proud new mum and is navigating her way through work-mum balance.

 

Jenny Piazza

Physiotherapist / Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

 

Jenny completed post graduate studies for Continence & Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation in 2000. She is experienced in all facets of pelvic health physiotherapy with special interests in pre- and post- prostatectomy, ante- and post-natal care, continence and prolapse management. Jenny works in a committed and collaborative way to ensure your goals are met, in an efficient timeframe, using evidence based management principles.

 

Christine Garbett

Remedial Massage Therapist

 

Christine has 20+ years of experience in her field, with over a decade working in elite sport (predominantly swimming), working at a national and international level, and has enjoyed continuous study throughout her career.

Christine loves working as part of a collaborative team, consulting with other professionals when needed to best support the health and wellbeing of her clients. When working with clients, Christine has a strong focus on treating the whole person to positively contribute to their quality of life, and has supported many clients throughout their pregnancies.

 

Christine uses a range of remedial modalities depending on the client’s needs, including:

Neuromuscular Pathway Work (chapman’s reflexes, positional release techniques, muscle energy techniques etc.)

Manual Lymph Drainage

Cupping

Trigger Point Therapy

Hot Stone Therapy

Myofascial Release, along with other soft tissue release techniques.
