Performance Physio
18 Physio has expertise with performance physiotherapy, particularly in musical theatre, with extensive experience working on the West End shows in London including; Hamilton, Hadestown, Company and Strictly Ballroom the Musical. Each production places different demands on the performers body and the challenges associated with the load and repetition of the show is well understood by our physio. At 18 Physio, we show initiative with injury prevention programs and screens to keep you on the stage or for a swift and safe return to show.

Sports Physio
At 18 Physio, our physiotherapist has experience working with a variety of sports including; AFL, tennis, netball, soccer, gymnastics and athletics. Therefore, our physiotherapist has experience assessing, treating and managing a range of sports conditions. Manual therapy techniques will be used to aid with recovery and may include techniques such as mobilisation, soft tissue massage, dry needling and taping. Following injury, a graduated program will be implemented so that you can return to what you love as quickly and as safely as possible.

Dance Screens / Pre-Pointe Assessment
With experience at the prestigious contemporary dance company, Company Wayne McGregor in the UK, 18 Physio has expertise in dance screens. Screens are important to ensure that any underlying weaknesses are detected to implement a home program to promote injury prevention.
Pre-pointe assessments are important determine if you can safely transition onto pointe shoes. This assessment is similar to the dance screen, however there is an increased focus on foot and ankle strength. Similarly, any underlying weaknesses will be identified during the assessment to ensure you are strengthening the relevant areas of your body to reduce injury risk.
